Trip to Caerleon and Caerwent with the class today. Both are in lovely green valleys and have impressive walls but it is the amphitheatre at Caerleon gets the scenery of the week award. When we first arrived at the amphitheatre I did get a bit distracted by a frisbee -- I stayed with the group, resisting the temptation to go chasing after it, but when it rolled right to my feet...well, I had the good fortune to catch up with the frisbee during lunch, which I spent tossing it with a couple of locals in the ditch of the Roman fort.

A couple of brief rain-showers but there were enough umbrellas that we all stayed dry during the heavy bits.
