The day was spent at my desk with books and computer, except for meals and for a brief spell in the garden (also with books and computer). Took a break this evening to hear the City of Oxford Choir sing in Merton Chapel. A good program and tolerable voices redeemed by superb acoustics that gave me time and space to reflect on my follies and the times when I have hoped too much.
