Alas that ice cream always comes in single-serving containers, for it always consumed yesterday leaving none for today. :(

Reading in Bede's History of the English Church and People of the power-obsessed Roman church with its mission of conquest, control and conformity and its complete rejection of not only alternative spiritualities but also any dissent or debate within the Christian community has increased my scepticism, particularly of "miracles", and brought me to resent the Anglican communion's roots in the Roman church. Perhaps this is only so because it is inflamed by parallels in the grasping nature of the ecomonic elite in contemporary American who seek to dominate media, commerce and goverment and to manipulate them for the benefit of their own limited circle. But when the future of this world is bleak and the vision of and path to the next world is manipulated to benefit this world's oligarchy, only bare desperate faith remains, challenged on all fronts.
