Safely arrived in Massachusetts last night & met the Hope of the Family, who acknowledged my existence by trying to focus on me for nearly a full second.

I got to meet the other new members of my mother's family this morning. She walked me around the yard, introducing me to the various roses that I'd not met previously. Most notable of the day: Abraham Darby, a rose of indeterminate colour and splendid fragrance.
