Finally done with taxes! It took three tries, so I've been right thankful for the internet, for online forms & instructions, and for neglected printers that come through in the crunch without jamming or running out of ink.

I've been less thankful for employers who treat certain large travel expenses as income (i.e., taxable) rather than business expenses (non-taxable), especially when said expenses are NOT deductible for California tax purposes even though they are deductible for federal tax purposes. Well, enough of that subject...

Final payment for this summer's program at Oxford also goes in the mail tomorrow. I haven't started a countdown calendar yet but there is an extensive 'to do' list of preparations and half of a packing list. And a mound of books to read ahead of time...
