[RANT ON] The disappointing not-so-surprising surprise this week was Sunset Morris announcing that once again they have carefully scheduled the California Morris Ale for the same weekend as NEFFA. The NEFFA dates were published a year ago -- scheduling a dance event against NEFFA is almost as foolish as planning a conflict with Marlboro or Sidmouth. The morris community is small, and bi-coastal as well as bi-continental, so this seems a sure-fire way of minimizing attendance. And me still not able to be in two places at once. Bother. [RANT OFF]
